The Account Manager role
The Account Manager will be handling a terrific UK based retail account that is fast-growing and rapidly out-performing its competitors. This is one of the largest and most important accounts within the agency that has the commitment of a senior creative team who are passionate about producing great work for the brand.
This isn’t about knee jerk reactions to what’s happening in the market but a thoughtful and considered approach helping to change its position from a challenger brand to a force to be reckoned with.
The Account Manager is joining the lead creative and strategic agency and will be helping to implement new brand strategy to help the brand continue to grow its market share.
This is an incredibly exciting sector for the Account Manager to be involved with since the creative bar has really been raised as the key players shrug off the stereotypes and look to be much braver.
This client has decided to plough its own furrow rather than doing “me too” campaigns. As a result the work is innovative and engaging with the Creative Department keen to take a hand in making a difference.
The Account Manager will be handling some blistering creative and getting involved with an account that is set to go on the Awards trail.
This is a great client who takes a collaborative approach to the agency. Since this is the first agency the client has worked with, they are open to new ideas and listening to innovative suggestions put on the table.
The agency is seeking an Account Manager who is really ‘on it’, bright and has experience in managing large, multi-channel campaigns, including TV, from creative origination right the way through to final delivery. There is a great mix of work on the account that includes TV, radio, OOH digital and social media.
There is a senior reporting line so there is plenty of autonomy in an agency that nurtures career development. The Account Manager will be central to leading campaigns and ensuring they are run effectively; managing all the resources within the agency. The Account Manager will be managing an AE.
With such a fast-pace and high turn-around of work, this role is all about building strong relationships with the clients at all levels, including up to Marketing Director level. The Account Manager will need to gain total trust from the client that they can always deliver.
The culture fit and energy are quite important. The Account Manager will need to be fun and quick witted with the ability to change tempo from a client meeting, to having a joke with the people round their desk. The agency sets the creative bar high and is seeking an Account Manager who lives and breathes great creative and is willing to go the extra mile for a great idea.
This is a close-knit team who all trust each other and muck in to support each other.
The role would suit an Account Manager who is keen to have a large piece of the pie and take responsibility for the day to day running of the account and get great work out the door.
