Account Manager, Creative Agency, London, Soho £30k – £34k Advertising
|About this job:||
Fancy joining an agency that holds live gigs and has a great bar?
What’s the Creative Agency like for the Account Manager?
All agencies are not the same! If you are cooped up in a sterile office feeling as if you have joined a bank rather than Adland, then this quirky agency with its outlandish offices and surreal work will help you get your mojo back!
Formally recognised as being one of the best employers in Adland, this agency seems to weave magic into the industry and is modest enough not to shout about itself but let others do it for them.
This is a large independent agency that has realised its creative ambition without losing its special character. It isn’t afraid to ruffle feathers and is adept at snatching business out of the jaws of the bigger networks which are brasher but less thoughtful.
They have managed to bag several sought-after accounts thanks to the fact that their clients give them some of the highest referral ratings in the industry. The standard of work is high and keeps improving – a lot of it pretty surreal!
Their investment in talent has paid off and their work is backed by sharp writing and great creative innovation.
The agency is incredibly friendly with a good social side and one of the best bars in London!
The Account Manager role
The Account Manager will be handling a terrific UK based account that is looking to re-position the brand. This isn’t about knee jerk reactions to what’s happening in the market but a thoughtful and considered approach re-positioning the brand as a force to be reckoned with.
The client is gutsy, fun and friendly and creatively ambitious. All the elements are here for great work.
The Account Manager will have a senior reporting line into a Business Director.
This is a fast track role for an Account Manager who is looking for more headroom and to gain recognition. Teams are kept deliberately lean to ensure there is plenty of exposure and there are big gaps between the levels to ensure there is headroom.
However, this is not to be confused with the sweatshop mentality of under-resourced agencies where lean teams mean late nights! This agency is very keen to put its workforce first and there is a great work/life balance: account handlers regularly take a lunch break and get away on time.
The agency is officially one of the “happiest places” to work in the industry. They are excellent at mentoring and ensuring that there is on-going feedback so that everyone feels stimulated and has the right stretch.
The agency has a great culture and vibe with live gigs, craft and mindfulness courses and its own in-house beer!
The account is in an incredibly exciting as the key players shrug off the stereotypes and look to be much braver.
This client has decided to plough its own furrow rather than doing “me too” campaigns. As a result the work is innovative and engaging with the Creative Department keen to take a hand in making a difference.
The Account Manager will be handling some blistering creative and getting involved with an account that is set to go on the Awards trail.
There is a great mix of work on the account that includes TV, radio, OOH digital and social media.
