Fidgety creative pirouettes around great ideas
What’s the Creative Agency like for the Account Manager?
If we were to draw the analogy that the established networks are the grandes dames of the industry, then, by the same token, we might describe the new start-ups as being the tearaway teenagers. This highly successful, independent Creative Agency brings together the best of both worlds: it is grown up but still young enough not to take itself too seriously.
It is a struggle to put this agency into a mould as it produces great work in all channels and has no “house style”. This is a modern, independent advertising agency that is constantly breaking new ground and it attracts grown up clients with grown up problems.
The value of independence is not to be under-estimated in an industry that is slowly having its confidence eroded by the big corporations where the accepted philosophy seems to be “he who pays the piper calls the tune”!
This agency is a magnet for innovative clients who are not bound by corporate ties; they tend to be disruptors who buck the trend. The agency is not arrogant enough to think that it knows each sector as well as its clients but it always pitches the idea it believes in and stands by it.
It is medium sized with an experienced management team including one of the best Creative Directors in the industry – a modest hero; yet not unsung!
The agency wears its talent lightly and egos don’t tend to flourish here. The atmosphere is friendly and collaborative both internally and externally since there really is nowhere to hide and this level of transparency is extended to the clients.
The Account Manager role
This is an ideal role for an Account Executive looking to take the step up to Account Manager level. There is a lot of air above you but good support from a Senior Account Director who is good at mentoring.
The Account Manager will be handling a terrific portfolio of accounts that are all originated from the UK and range from the quirky to the famous. They are challenger brands and excellent creative is the key to giving them a leg up into the mainstream.
The agency attracts the hungrier types and the Account Manager will have a lot of headroom in an agency that is non-hierarchical. Career progression is swifter here than in other agencies and the role would suit an ambitious Account Executive who is not getting the best out of where they are at the moment and who wants to be given more responsibility.
The agency is extremely friendly and supportive and its transparent approach with both staff and clients means the agency is viewed as a valued partner.
Great work is at the centre of everything they do and the Account Manager will be involved with all the channels including TV, film, radio, OOH digital and social media.
